Become an Adult Mental Health First Aider
Adult Mental Health First Aid is a course for everyone who works or lives with adults (16 upwards). You can learn how to support Adult mental health, provide help in an emergency and guide them towards the appropriate support.
Two Day – Mental Health First Aiders
A practical skills and awareness course designed to give you:
- A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including your own
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support
- The course is very relevant to the challenges that Headteachers and wider SLT are dealing with on a daily basis, it equips them with necessary tools to be able to support colleagues and access the appropriate support for mental health.
- Additionally, we know that well-being of staff has a major emphasis in the new Ofsted inspection framework and features as part of the outstanding and good judgement for leadership and management.
The two-day course provides colleagues with the Mental Health First Aid qualification lasting for three years.

The cost of this course is £ 100 per delegate, this includes course materials – Max 25 delegates face to face and 10 delegates online
