Headteacher/staff support programme

Headmatters delivers Headteacher and staff support packages which typically consists of a 6 or 12 hour ‘package’ over an academic year, which usually involves three to six visits of pastoral support and additional email, phone or skype contact. This can be varied according to needs but is based on visits which are private, confidential and act as a professional sounding board, within a coaching/mentoring approach which leads to action for better results, problem-solving and greater resilience.

A variation in hours can be discussed individually as a well as ‘packages’ that include some inset e.g. 2/3 twilight sessions per annum.

    Testimonials

My leadership team and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jon. Although I am an experienced headteacher, I still learnt much from Jon regarding school improvement. His style suited me and my school; support was rigorous, challenging but also developmental and well received thanks to his approachable manner and effective coaching style

    Headteacher, Taunton

I run a large primary school and nursery with a high level of PP children and significant learning and behavioural challenges. Jon quickly and astutely understood the school strengths and our capacity, he supported my team and I with the rapid development and improvements of identified priorities. His support, knowledge, involvement and skills, leading up to and during inspection, were crucial in helping my school retain our ‘Good’ Ofsted judgement (Dec 18)

    Headteacher, South West

Jon has been incredibly resourceful in enabling the school to flourish during a very difficult year, both with general support and specific challenges
